WarChest is nicely nestled in Bromley, which is London’s largest Borough. Bromley is a vibrant place, steeped in history and full of things to check out. There are a whole host of amenities just a few footsteps away from the office, including stunning gardens and a diverse pedestrianised High Street with hundreds of shops.
Bromley also has a direct train connection to the heart of London, and you can be in the capital within 15 minutes - perfect for an evening out on the town.
Over time Bromley has had some pretty interesting residents. Charles Darwin, Billy Idol, Siouxsie Sioux, and David Bowie all lived in the town and HG Wells, author of War of the Worlds, was born here, giving this place a unique and creative appeal.

Semi-detached properties make up almost a third of Bromley's homes. In recent years, however, there has been an influx of young professionals who tend to gravitate towards the newly-built flats in the town centre. There are also quite a few Victorian houses, although most of the larger versions have now been converted into flats.

The Glades shopping centre with its 125 Stores is located in the middle of town and is just a stone’s throw away from the WarChest offices. In addition, the High Street spoils you with retail choice by offering around 300 stores.
Whether you fancy a nibble, a hearty meal, or want to experience some fine cuisine, there are dozens of restaurants and cafes sprinkled throughout Bromley, offering tasty dishes from all over the world.
Arts and Entertainment
If you want to catch the latest movie releases, the Empire cinema in Bromley High Street will have you covered. Theatre enthusiasts can enjoy watching a professional performance at the prestigious Churchill Theatre, where many productions debut before they go on to dazzle audiences in the West End.
If you just want to have a good time with a few mates, then you will find that Bromley is a sociable area with a variety of bars and nightclubs spread across the town.
Sport and Leisure
The Pavillion Leisure centre is across the road from our building and has recently been refurbished with a new gym and exercise studios - it couldn’t be easier to grab your trainers and participate in a class or two. The centre boasts modern facilities including a swimming pool, a health suite, a multi-purpose hall and a brand new ten-pin bowling lane. Best of all, membership is complimentary for all full-time WarChest employees. For those with yet more energy to burn, Bromley is also home to several other sporting facilities, including a tennis centre, a golf course, an athletics track and the Bromley Football Rugby Club.
If you’re looking for a more relaxed pace, Bromley also offers some 35 miles of protected countryside, parks and open spaces to roam in. A prime destination in the borough are the Church House Gardens in the town centre, where you will find a lake and a concert platform offering the odd alfresco performance.
Getting to London and Other Destinations
Just five minutes from the WarChest headquarters is Bromley South Station, which provides fast and frequent direct rail services to the capital. There are also mainline connections to a multitude of other destinations.
More locally, a sprawling network of bus and tram services creates effortless access to the surrounding towns, where it is simple to explore local places such as Beckenham, Penge, Orpington, Biggin Hill and Chislehurst. All of these places offer something special and are worth taking a visit. If you love to travel to more faraway locations, London’s Heathrow, Gatwick and Stanstead airports are all conveniently accessible by road and train.
